A press release issued in this capital said that it is the new vitola or type of cigar called Cupido, from the Romeo y Julieta brand, one of the most demanded by cigar aficionados worldwide.

This novelty was unveiled by Fifth Avenue Products Trading, G.M.B.H., the exclusive distributor of Habanos, S.A. for Germany, Austria and Poland, before more than 250 participants in an exclusive event in the city of Bückeburg.

The Cupido cigars (55 millimeters in diameter and 148 millimeters long) will be on sale exclusively at Casas del Habano and Habanos Especialistas stores.

The official statement reiterated that Cupido appeared at a meeting held at the Bückeburg Castle, during the so-called Habanos Day, a gathering in the city’s old area. It was a dream meeting for cigar enthusiasts, where live music and artistic performances created a magical atmosphere for participants, including retailers, cigar clubs, aficionados and journalists.

The meeting was attended by Anamary Suarez, Cuba’s Commercial Counselor in Germany, who was among the first to taste the new vitola.

The Cupido vitola is presented to the market in a special box of 20 entirely-handmade cigars with long filler, after a careful selection of the wrapper, filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo plantations, where the world’s best tobacco is produced, in the western region of Pinar del Río (Cuba).

This new vitola joins the label’s portfolio of Romeo y Julieta, which has one of the most extensive ranges of vitolas.
