Cuban Ambassador to China Alberto Blanco made this remarks to Prensa Latina and highlighted the potentialities for cooperation in biotechnology, computer sciences, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and renewable energy sources.
“We are working on establishing a Cuba Promotion Center in Hangzhou, along with the prestigious Tumei International Travel agency, to deepen exchanges between the two peoples in several sectors,” the diplomat said.
According to Blanco, sectors such as tourism, culture, trade, and sports will benefit from this center, whose objectives include holding regular and thematic events and organizing trips to Cuba for groups of Chinese tourists and investors.
“Cuba is also unique due to its cities full of heritage, history, culture, sunsets by the sea, tobacco, rum, music, gastronomy, nature, navigation, diving, and its high level of health care and safety,” he added.
The 6th edition of this international day was dedicated to the Hangzhou Asian Games, which will take place this month, and China’s Belt and Road Initiative, in which Cuba participates.
