During his stay in Cuba, Alvarez will hold official talks with Interim Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Ricardo Cabrisas, and other Cuban officials.
This is Alvarez’s first visit to Cuba.
Cuba and the Dominican Republic reestablished bilateral relations on April 16, 1998, following a visit by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, to the Dominican Republic.
The two nations, united in history by permanent friendship and solidarity, share everything from music to the way of life, including customs and traditions.
