Written by young journalist Jaime Masó, the launching of the text published by Ediciones Cubanas Artex, will be accompanied by a meeting with the interpreter, National Music Award 2015, the author of the work and the host of the space, journalist and critic Fernando Rodríguez Sosa.
The volume proposes a look at the artistic trajectory of one of the most relevant voices of the Cuban song throughout centuries and is structured in six sections, enriched with a collection of photographs of the artist.
According to the author, “it is not a biography, nor does it pretend to be (…) (they are) “notes” (…), pretexts to enjoy all the talent of an artist who at the beginning of her career lost her name to become, spontaneously and with dignity, La Musicalísima”.
The presentation will take place on September 7, at 3:00 p.m., local time, at the centrally located bookstore, located on Obispo Boulevard, #261, between Cuba and Aguiar Streets, in Havana’s Historic Center.
