The event, which will start at 8:30 p.m. local time, is a launching scenario for young Cuban artists and groups.
A few weeks ago, on July 29th, the nominees for this 21st edition of the Festival, which includes 85 artists in 21 categories, were officially presented.
The winners are selected by a jury presided over by communicator Carlos Fornés, and includes musicologists, journalists, radio and television producers, representatives of the Cuban Rap Agency and the National Electroacoustic Music Laboratory.
One of the objectives of the Cuerda Viva Festival, which accompanies the Cuban television program of the same name, is to give visibility to the alternative scene of Cuba, a concept that has been extended to practically all music genres.
