MSF Emergency Director Trish Newport noted that the situation in eastern Chad is complex and might deteriorate further if aid does not arrive quickly. Clashes in Sudan started on April 15, due to disagreements between the Rapid Support Forces, led by General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Vice-President of the Sovereign Transitional Council (STC), and Army Chief and STC President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
