“Early voting for seats in the Zaporozhye Region’s Legislative Assembly and local governments kicked off in hard-to-reach areas adjacent to the line of engagement. Twelve territorial election commissions are conducting voting,” the commission informed.

The electoral body also assured that election teams are visiting voters at their homes with rounds distributed in 61 district polling stations.

“All necessary measures have been taken to ensure the security of the electorate in the region. Early voting, in 375 localities with 214,127 eligible voters, will last eight days,” the statement read.

The Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions scheduled this year’s single voting day for September 10.
