Pyongyang, Aug 31 (Prensa Latina) Members of the Cuban Embassy in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) visited Mangyongdae, President Kim Il-sung's homeland, on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two nations.

KCNA reported that the diplomats toured the house where the late DPRK leader grew up, which has been turned into a museum, viewed the documents and historic objects he cherished, and listened to explanations about his life.

In the guest book, Boris Perez, chargé d’affaires ad interim of the Cuban Embassy, emphasized the values of the friendship between Cuba and North Korea.

The delegation also visited historic sites in the Mangyong Hills, KCNA added.

The Minju Joson newspaper published an article on Tuesday about the significance of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and stated that both nations continue to fight shoulder-to-shoulder to defend socialism and strengthen their fraternal friendship daily.

The DPRK and Cuba firmly uphold the banner of anti-imperialist independence and socialism and support each other amid the complicated international situation, which has further strengthened friendly relations, the newspaper noted.
