Professionals and amateurs of any age can participate in the competition with images reflecting the promotion and protection of human rights in Cuba, the call refers.

Photos can be sent to the e-mail address cubaacnu@gmail.com; or delivered personally on CD support at the ACNU headquarters, located at No 514 J Street, corner 25, Vedado, Plaza de la Revolucion, or by postal mail (CP: 10400).

The submitted images must be unpublished -without presentation or award in previous contests-, and in digital format TIFF or JPG, with a resolution of 1920×1080 at 300 DPI. They may be in black and white or color, and previously artistically edited by authors. Organizers also require that the works be accompanied by as much personal information as possible to identify the author, as well as the type of device with which the photo was taken.

The ACNU 2023 photography contest will award prizes in the categories Individual Photo and Photographic Series (comprising three to five images that constitute a photographic story); and only one work will be admitted in each category.

The event’s jury will award a Grand Prize per category, as well as many mentions as it deems appropriate; collateral prizes will also be awarded by institutions, projects and organizations that co-sponsor this contest, the document adds.

The competition’s winners will be announced as part of the activities for the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in addition to the works’ publication on the institution’s website and a photographic selection in the ACNU 2023 Magazine.

The call for entries will be opened from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (local time), and the deadline for entries is September 29, the call clears.
