Rosario Murillo, Nicaraguan vice-president, informed that the acts for the delivery of the letters of release will take place in the penitentiary of Tipitapa, Matagalpa, Granada, León, Estelí, Juigalpa, Chinandega and Bluefields.

According to her, the families of these prisoners are ready to receive their loved ones, who now have a new opportunity after learning different trades in courses and workshops received in the penitentiary centers, with the hope of recovery.

The Nicaraguan prisoners will receive their freedom on the day of Santa Rosa del Peñón, date on which the patron saint festivities of the municipality of the same name, belonging to the department of León, are celebrated.

The legal benefit of family coexistence has been a frequent policy applied by the Sandinista government for several years on special dates in this country.
