cinta-policia
San Salvador, Aug 29 (Prensa Latina) Salvadoran Minister of Defense Rene Francis Merino Monroy unfolded on Tuesday that the daily homicide rate with the state of exception in El Salvador 17 months ago was 0.55 per 100,000 people.

The minister granted that crime levels are extremely low; thus, they expect to close 2023 with a rate lower than ever before.

The percentage of murders decreased drastically and, during those 520 days since the measure was applied, 288 homicides had been reported to reach a rate of 0.55 per day, Merino noted.

The minister of Defense assured they aim at turning El Salvador into the safest nation in the Americas through the strategies the government has been producing.
