During the flight, which lasted 54 minutes, the aircraft rose to an altitude of nine thousand feet and reached the speed of 343 kilometers per hour, confirming the stable operation of all internal systems, controllability and stability in the air, the statement said.
The Minister of State, Denís Mánturov, described the trial as “a success of thousands of people, workers of aeronautical and radio-electronic construction companies” that are part of the Rostec group (which includes the Yakovlev center).
“Russian designers and manufacturers managed to implement and embody in the aircraft their own design solutions and technologies, including avionics, landing gear, auxiliary power unit, integrated control system, as well as power, air conditioning, and fire protection systems,” the Minister said.
The Yakovlev SJ-100 is an advanced Russian regional narrow-body jet, a rebranded version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 with maximum import component substitution. The project began after the Western sanctions against Russia.
Simultaneously with the replacement of imported components, processes related to system reliability, comfort, safety and airworthiness, among other elements, will be improved.
