The United States and other Western countries provide Israel with coverage and impunity to continue to commit crimes that are condemned under the UN Charter and international resolutions, the Foreign Ministry denounced in a statement.

It assured that Israel’s bombing on Monday on the international airport of Aleppo, in northern Syria, is part of the US and Western escalation and its ongoing support for terrorism.

The statement said that Tel Aviv persists in its flagrant violation of the UN Charter, its disregard for international humanitarian law and its brutal policy of targeting vital civilian infrastructure and facilities.

It is not the first time that the Israeli enemy has targeted civilian targets and facilities, as it bombed several times the international airports of Damascus and Aleppo, the commercial port of Latakia and a number of scientific and cultural centers, the press release denounced.

It stressed that mocking the lives of civilians has become a key feature of Israel’s policy and an essential factor for regional and global instability.
