According to the Azertac news agency on Monday, the president received the Turkish military chief at the government palace with whom he also discussed the progress of friendly relations between the two countries, including the military sphere.
The note also added that Gurak’s visit to Azerbaijan will expand the cooperation between Baku and Ankara.
Azerbaijan is Türkiye’s main partner in the Caucasus due to the ethnic, religious and cultural closeness of the two countries and close cooperation in various areas.
Baku also enjoys Ankara’s support in its decades-long dispute with Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
