The general director of the Institute of Meteorology, Celso Pazos, indicated that the rains can be strong and intense in some locations and that special attention should be given to the issue of flooding and wind.

Marrero directed the meeting to continue working in accordance with the risk and disaster reduction plans, to take all preventive measures, especially with families in vulnerable situations, as well as to preserve the lives of people and material goods.

The call to our people continues to be to stay informed and comply with the guidelines of the Civil Defense, the Institute of Meteorology and the authorities of the territories, the head of government pointed out in his account on the X social network, formerly known as Twitter.

Authorities from the provinces of Pinar del Río, Havana, Artemisa and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, as well as ministers from various portfolios, also participated in the meeting.
