Liuba, who is one of the essential voices of the Cuban and Latin American musical staff, will share the stage with the singer and songwriter Luz Marina Posada, also from Antioquia, an exceptional exponent of the Andean song.
“These two talented composers and performers will take you on a musical journey through Colombia and Cuba with their passion, energy and ability to fuse musical genres,” the Colsubsidio Theater, announced.
The renowned Cuban artist, who since 1982 has been part of the Nueva Trova movement, founded by legendary figures such as Silvio Rodríguez and Pablo Milanés, will offer in her concert songs such as Tu amor es el canto mío, Así es tu amor or Vidas paralelas, among others from her rich repertoire.
She will also sing songs from her new album Para volverte a ver, where she explores different genres with an accentuated presence of Caribbean sonorities and where the choirs stand out in many of her songs with exquisite taste and careful work.
This new album has 15 songs and “marks a turning point in her career that undoubtedly places her in the best of the Cuban troubadour and song tradition, but also shows a more universal perspective”, according to the Cancioneros.com newspaper.
“Colombia, dear land. Tomorrow I will give you my first hug after several years of absence,” Liuba said yesterday on her Facebook profile.
