The CNE decides whether the elections will be repeated in the three districts abroad or not, and how they will be carried out since on Sunday overseas Venezuelan citizens did not cast their votes due to failures in the online system.
The Citizen Revolution (CR) movement praised the Overseas Electoral Board’s call, grounded in they described the platform’s problems as an actual fraud.
In statements to Prensa Latina, Monica Palacios, candidate for CR’s assembly members revealed there was a trick the system’s creators were aware of using it to sell it to other political parties for getting benefit, so there was no cybernetic attack whatsoever, as the CNE reported.
Palacios explained that most voters outside Ecuador were left without voting because they did not receive in their e-mails the code to access the platform; nonetheless, others were able to vote because of a trick that just asked for the ID number.
