Cirilo crossed the finish line after clocking 44.799 seconds, ahead of Spain’s Antia Jacome (45.418) and China’s Wenjun Lin (45.623), who won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
This way, Cuban athlete won her fourth world medal, since she already had a medal of each color in the tandem canoe, but at a personal level she only had won at in World Cups.
She will compete on Saturday, together with Yinnoly Lopez, in the final of the 500-meter C-2, at which she also has a good chance to reach the podium.
