This talk will be given by Agustín Lage, Honorary Member of the SEAP, at the headquarters of that entity, located at Avenida Salvador Allende (Carlos III), number 710, between Castillejo and Soledad, Centro Habana municipality.
The activity will be carried out on occasion of the election that day of the Society’s Scientific Council, which is an advisory body, subordinated to the president of that society.
This Council advises, studies, analyzes, evaluates and presents proposals and recommendations on matters related to its mission and corporate purpose from a scientific perspective.
It is made up of highly qualified professionals who, due to their experience and prestige, favor advisory work. Their election is held every four years.
The SEAP, one of the oldest non-government organizations in the country, has among its challenges to further cultivate its history, its actions in two centuries and occupy a greater space in the transformation process that is taking place in the nation and in community work.
Its social mission includes mobilizing the scientific-technical community based on the objectives set by the Cuban Revolution.
Also it promotes the exchange and plural debate of opinions to form criteria on issues related to the promotion of education, science, culture and environmental protection.
