India congratulates new BRICS members

Johannesburg, South Africa, Aug 24 (Prensa Latina) The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, congratulated the leaders of Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their incorporation into the BRICS as full members.

Modi reiterated at the events BRICS-Africa Outreach and BRICS Plus Dialogue that India has always supported the bloc’s expansion. He specified that adding new members will further strengthen the bloc, and expressed his conviction that together they will give greater energy and rhythm to mutual cooperation. He also stressed that India has excellent relations with each of the new members of the group.

During his speeches since the beginning of the Summit, the dignitary insisted on strengthening the BRICS through actions that break down barriers, revitalize economies, inspire innovation and create opportunities.

He also proposed initiatives to strengthen cooperation within the BRICS in areas such as space, education, development of skills and technologies, traditional medicine and the protection of big cats.

The Prime Minister called for the creation of a Space Exploration Consortium to work for global wellness in areas such as space research and climate monitoring.

He stated that they are already working on projects such as the constitution of the BRICS satellite, the Vaccine Research and Development Center and the mutual recognition of pharmaceutical products, which generate positive changes in the population.
