Aida Ramos, Prensa Latina News Agency’s photojournalist, spoke on behalf of the Cuban federates working on Italy, pointing out the FMC enhances policies aimed at achieving the full exercise of women’s equality in all areas and levels of society.
Since its creation on August 23, 1960, in an act presided over by the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, in which Vilma Espin was elected as its president, the FMC’s main goal has been women’s inclusion into both society and employment, as well as into the program of social and economic changes underway in the country.
