Al-Assoumi issued a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, celebrated every August 21st, calling for the enactment of legislations in order to guarantee care and support for these people at a social, financial and health level.
He praised the efforts of the Arab Parliament and its interest in preparing a governing regional law to support the victims of this scourge with aiming at helping the countries of the region to review and update their national legislations.
He also stressed that many countries in the regionarea have suffered and are still being hit by terrorism.
“That is why we must adopt norms to defend the rights of the victims, because it is part of the basic strategies to prevent this affliction and put an end to the cycles that generate violence,” the official stressed.
