The event, which began on August 16, is dedicated on this occasion to Italian writer Italo Calvino, and promotes the cinematographic dialogue between the two countries through screenings and theoretical spaces, in addition to the International Poster Contest “Italo Calvino. An optimist in centenary”.
This Sunday, the exhibition of restored copies of Italian films and premieres of contemporary Italian cinema will continue at 23 and 12 and Acapulco theaters, respectively.
Among the restored classics scheduled for this day are Mamma Roma (1962) and Ocho y medio (1963), which will be shown at 14:00 and 17:00, local time, respectively.
Meanwhile, Le mosche, Inverno, Storia di un violino e del suo albero, Big and Una famiglia will be shown at the Acapulco cinema.
According to information provided, throughout these days meetings were held with representatives of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (Icaic), the Cinemateca de Cuba, the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema and the CartelON project.
