SNM’s report unfolds that so far this year, in conjunction with the National Air and Naval Service, 257 foreigners have been returned and 119 citizens have been expelled, most of them of Colombian origin.
The transfer of these people to Bogota was conducted from the Panama Pacifico International Airport, in this capital, to the Jose Maria Cordoba air terminal, in Medellin.
In this regard, Security Minister Juan Manuel Pino assured the press that on the border of Panama with Colombia, they have detected dozens of people with criminal records who try to mix with migrants who cross the Darien plug every day.
Pino further noted that Panama is the only country in the region that verifies migrants biometrically, which guarantees the control of those flows.
