According to the President’s Press Office, the resolution, released on Thursday, states that this transformation is aimed at strengthening the institutional framework, governance and the effectiveness of public policies.
Likewise, it seeks the efficient provision of the educational service, with a view to guaranteeing the fundamental right to quality education in the country.
To this end, the decree stipulates that a Commission will be created, composed of representatives of the Ministries of Education and Public Administration, the National Institutes of Integral Attention to Early Childhood, the National Institute of Student Welfare and the National Institute of Teachers’ Welfare.
Also, the National Institute of Physical Education, the National Institute of Evaluation and Research of Educational Quality, the National Institute of Teacher Training and Education, and the Salomé Ureña Higher Institute of Teacher Training.
According to the same source, the referred Commission must present, within a term not exceeding 90 days, a sectorial plan which responds to the issues set forth in the resolution.
