The head of State tweeted that at the meeting, they ratified the willingness to advance in priority sectors and with opportunities for the development of bilateral ties for the benefit of both peoples.
In recent days, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez met with the Brazilian politician and reaffirmed Cuba’s will to strengthen bilateral relations and take advantage of existing potentialities.
According to Brazilian media, Amorím traveled to Cuba in response to an express request from President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the interest of strengthening ties between the two nations.
Last May, Cuba and Brazil ratified their will to expand and strengthen inter-parliamentary relations during a visit to Havana of a delegation of Brazilian legislators.
On the occasion, both parties showed their willingness to contribute to boosting economic-commercial relations in areas of mutual interest such as biotechnology, vaccines, food production, tourism and energy.
