Al-Mekdad stressed the strong bilateral relations and expressed Syria’s permanent and unconditional support for Cuba against the unjust economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States.

The head of Cuban diplomacy, in turn, repeated his country’s stance to support Syria in its fight against terrorism and Washington’s economic coercive measures.

Rodríguez called to strengthen friendship between the two nations and increase mutual coordination in international forums.
