The Luna-25 automatic station, flying in a circular orbit as an artificial satellite of the Moon, filmed the surface of the star with television cameras of the STS-L system, Roscosmos noted on its official Telegram site.
The first image taken corresponds to the Zeeman crater at the south pole on the dark side of the Moon. The coordinates of the center of the crater correspond to 75 degrees south latitude and 135 degrees west longitude, the Russian space agency said.
In this regard, Roscosmos explained that the Zeeman crater is of great interest to researchers. The height of the surrounding pit is eight kilometers above the surface of a relatively flat bottom.
In addition, the Luna-25 automatic station made observations using the ADRON-LR, PmL, and ARIES-L instruments, created at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the company Astron Electronics.
Gamma-ray and neutron fluxes from the Moon’s surface were measured, as well as parameters of the circumlunar space plasma and the gas and dust exosphere in circumlunar orbit,” he added.

Moscú, 17 ago (Prensa Latina) El aparato espacial ruso Luna-25 tomó hoy su primera fotografía de la superficie lunar tras haber entrado en la órbita del satélite natural terrestre, comunicó la Agencia Espacial Rusa (Roscosmos).
La estación automática Luna-25, volando en una órbita circular como un satélite artificial de la Luna, filmó la superficie del astro con cámaras de televisión del sistema STS-L, destacó Roscosmos en su sitio oficial de Telegram.
La primera imagen tomada corresponde al cráter Zeeman del polo sur en el lado oscuro de la Luna. Las coordenadas del centro del cráter corresponden a 75 grados de latitud sur y 135 grados de longitud oeste, precisó el ente espacial ruso.
En este sentido, Roscosmos explicó que el cráter Zeeman es de gran interés para los investigadores. La altura del pozo que lo rodea es de ocho kilómetros sobre la superficie de un fondo relativamente plano.
Además, la estación automática Luna-25 realizó observaciones utilizando los instrumentos ADRON-LR, PmL, y ARIES-L, creados en el Instituto de Investigaciones Espaciales de la Academia Rusa de Ciencias en cooperación con la empresa Astron Electronics.
Se midieron los flujos de rayos gamma y neutrones de la superficie de la Luna, así como los parámetros del plasma espacial circunlunar y la exosfera de gas y polvo en la órbita circumlunar”, agregó.
