The announcement said that the flights would be scheduled for Wednesdays and Sundays, and the company has already started selling tickets to the Cuban capital.
Havana will become Rossiya’s second destination in Cuba; the first is the Varadero beach, where the airline began regular flights on July 1.
Regular flights between the two nations have been suspended since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine and the implementation of sanctions against Russia by the United States and the European Union, mainly in the use of airspace and restrictions on the operation of Visa and Mastercard payment systems.
