This project is present in 16 popular councils with 63 settlements, where over 27,500 people live.

Guillermo Escobar, from the Provincial Turquino Plan Commission, confirmed to local press that works are being conducted in the municipalities of Fomento, Trinidad, Sancti Spíritus and Yaguajay.

At present, he explained that 63% of the housing stock in these areas, some in settlements and others in far-flung houses, is in good condition; the rest requires more attention to improve comfort and durability.

The Turquino Plan will benefit about 230 families, to complete construction of about 70 houses and provide resources to eradicate dirt floors, as well as improve condition of properties according to the number of people in the families.
