The event is part of the 22nd edition of the Arte en La Rampa (Arts at La Rampa) cultural fair, taking place at the popular Havana venue, according to the Directorate for the Development of Cultural Industries and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Culture, organizer of the event.
The Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC) and the Hermanos Saiz Association, which brings together young Cuban creators, are also organizing the event.
The event’s program includes two theoretical panels to share experiences, best practices, and challenges of the cultural and creative industries in Cuba and their main characteristics.
Executives, entrepreneurs, creators, artists, professionals, and the private sector’s representatives will also discuss the cultural and creative industries’ potentialities so as to contribute to the sustainability of the cultural system and the country’s economic development.
Thursday’s panel will be “The Cultural and Creative Industries in Cuba: a Debate on their Essence and Complexities,” with the participation of Tania García. She will speak about “Cultural Industry and Creative Economy: Discussing the Terms.”
