Fixing areas, broadening centers at different levels of education, from kindergartens and nursery schools to high schools, colleges and polytechnic schools, and remodeling classrooms are among the actions aimed at improving the institutional infrastructure in Matanzas.

Currently, one of the centers being remodeled is the home for orphans located in La Playa town in Cardenas, a facility that cares for children from zero to 18 years old.

Masonry work on walls such as cork removal, carpentry work on doors and windows, assembly of floors and ceilings, and installation of lighting and hydraulic networks in classrooms stand out among the actions taken in the institutions.
