Venezuela’s oil production to ramp up 10 percent in 2023

Caracas, Aug 15 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's oil production increased 10.6% in 2023, reaching a rise nearly 80,000 oil barrels per day in July compared to the average reported in January, an authorized source on Tuesday.

According to information disclosed in social networks by Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), in July a figure of 810 000 barrels per day was reached, a growth of 78 000 in comparison with the 732 000 produced in the first month of the year.

The best record so far, according to the chart released, was achieved in May, when the daily tonnage reached 819,000 barrels.

Regarding figures, the Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum and PDVSA President Rafael Tellechea revealed on social networks that his administration is focused on fulfilling the strategic role of meeting the demand of the energy markets, especially in times of crisis.
