According to reports published by the official SANA news agency, during the meetings in Cairo, Egypt’s capital, the head of Syrian diplomacy reviewed the issues on the agenda of the meeting of the Arab Contact Committee on Syria.
The talks were positive and constructive, and it was agreed to continue coordination and joint cooperation between the four countries, the media reported.
Diplomatic sources quoted the day before by the Syrian daily Al-Watan revealed that the meeting would address the mechanisms that could be adopted by the Arab countries to help Syria overcome the war.
They specified that there is a will to take collective and not individual action, in order to send positive messages to the West about the need to speed up the solution of the Syrian crisis and lift the sanctions that have disastrous repercussions on the Syrian people, they said.
The readmission of Syria to the Arab League passed by Arab foreign ministers in Cairo on May 9 generated a positive atmosphere and prospects for dialogue with this state.
