The group of leaders who arrived in the last hours on Monday includes the heads of State of Argentina, Alberto Fernández; Bolivia, Luis Arce; Chile, Gabriel Boric; Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou; and King of Spain Felipe VI.

Lacalle traveled to Asunción accompanied by his father, former Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Herrera, and former Uruguayan President Julio María Sanguinetti, along with other authorities.

The leaders include the vice presidents of El Salvador, Félix Ulloa, and of Taiwan, William Lai, as well as the foreign ministers of Cameroon and Saudi Arabia, who are participating as special guests.

The delegation from the United States, appointed by President Joe Biden, is headed by Secretary of the Interior Debra Haaland, and includes the Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Todd D. Robinson.

Ecuador, a country in a security crisis, will be represented by Vice President Alfredo Enrique Borrero Vega.
