“President Peña has given a speech in which he put several issues of common agenda that we have, and I think it has been important the message not only about the bi-oceanic corridor for us,” the president said shortly before flying back to Bolivia.

Arce also praised Peña’s words on energy, a matter in which Bolivia is an important country in the generation and distribution, not only for the region.

Another issue of interest was that of aquifers, to which Bolivia “pays great attention because it is important to improve agricultural production and quality of life”. Based on this background, the head of State instructed the Bolivian Foreign Minister Rogelio Mayta to propose to establish a binational integration agenda to be analyzed in a meeting, including border and customs protection and collaboration.
