According to the sources, the missiles targeted the headquarters of the Islamic State (Daesh) in the desert region of Al-Badieh, between the provinces of Hama and Homs, in central Syria.
The strikes coincided with sorties conducted by Russian and Syrian combat aviation against Daesh terrorists who are taking refuge in caves and caverns as they wait to launch sudden attacks on the national army.
The targets were designated after an extensive reconnaissance operation carried out by the Russian Aerospace Force. As a result, a number of terrorists were eliminated.
Syrian forces reinforced their positions in the Al-Mayadeen desert in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor after the Daesh intensified its attacks, the most recent was against a military bus, claiming the lives of more than 30 soldiers.
