The vote is the first step to participate in the October 22 general elections, for which the candidates must win more than 1.5 percent of the valid votes.

The Argentinians will decide in two months who will represent the alliances that have been formed, among which the Union for the Homeland Coalition (UP), the Together for Change coalition (JxC), and the far-right Liberty Advances coalition (LLA) stand out.

In the case of UP, a coalition that emerged from the organizations that make up the Front of All (FdT), voters will have to choose between Economy Minister Sergio Massa and Chief of Cabinet of Minister Agustín Rossi (Blue and White List) and Juan Grabois and Paula Abal (Just and Sovereign).

Buenos Aires Head of Government Horacio Rodríguez and Jujuy Governor Gerardo Morales (The Change of Our Lives), will represent JxC. They will run against former Security Minister Patricia Bullrich, and Luis Petri, from the Radical Civic Union (The Force of Change).

Javier Milei and Victoria Villarruel will appear as the only ticket for the LLA.

The Proyección Consultores survey revealed that Massa and Rossi lead a vote intention of 25.9 percent of support and would win within the UP. Bullrich and Petri would get 20.4 percent, and Rodríguez and Morales would leave behind with 13.9 percent.

Meanwhile, the LLA might get 19.1 points, and Grabois and Abal 5.2 points.
