Previously, the plant was receiving power from the 750-KW line from Dnepropetrovskaya, and the 330-KW cable from Ferrosplav, which is the only one active at the moment, the statement noted.
The Zaporozhie nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, is located near the city of Energodar, has six pressurized water reactors of the VVER-1000 model and has a total capacity of 6,000 MW.
In October 2022, the plant became the property of Russia, following the popular referendum in favor of the accession of Zaporozhie oblast to the Russian Federation.
The plant’s six reactors are shut down to minimize the risk of their exposure to the ongoing armed conflict.
