At the meeting on Wednesday, Morales acknowledged the strong ties of brotherhood that unite both nations and the support received from Japan in a group of economic and social programs of broad impact on the lives of Cubans.
For his part, the Japanese parliamentarian thanked Cuba for the affection with which they have been welcomed, and acknowledged that despite distance, Cuba knows the important milestones of Japanese culture and history.
Also present at the meeting were Japanese Ambassador to Cuba Hirata Kenji, and other legislators from the Japanese Upper House, as well as the head of the CCPCC’s International Relations Department, Emilio Lozada, and other officials from the Communist Party of Cuba.
