According to the politician, weapons can be transferred to Ukraine from all over the world, but this conflict has no military solution and its continuation and support only leads to senseless loss of lives.
Fico thinks that the new government of Slovakia, which will be formed after the elections, should rethink the approach to the Ukrainian conflict, which is between the Russian Federation and the United States to weaken Moscow.
The politician is certain that the prolongation of the conflict and the continuation of the arms shipment to Kiev is in the interest of neither the European Union (EU) nor Slovakia.
He noted that the Ukrainian counteroffensive was not as successful as the military expected, despite the huge assistance provided.
The former prime minister stressed that his party does not support Ukraine’s membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), as it is against the interests of the State and could involve EU countries, including Slovakia, in a conflict with Russia.
