The Cuban Ministry tweeted these are ties based on respect, solidarity and mutual support.

Earlier this year, Cuba and Senegal expressed interest in strengthening bilateral ties during a Meeting of Inter-Foreign Affairs Ministry Political Consultations, held virtually.

During the encounter, both sides noted the positive state of relations and expressed their willingness to continue strengthening those ties in areas of common interest. To that end, they discussed actions to boost economic-commercial exchange, cooperation and political dialogue.
