The delegation of the Costa Rican Movement of Solidarity with the Cuban People to the meeting in Tegucigalpa consists of community, youth, and student leaders.
They are currently consummate popular, anti-imperialists fighters for the definitive liberation of our peoples and socialism, CBYLO member Oscar Barrantes told Prensa Latina.
The group will participate in colloquiums and working commissions dealing with Fidel Castro and solidarity, the Cuban economy today and its challenges, and the struggle against the imperialist blockade against Cuba, among other issues, Barrantes added.
One of the most significant moments in which we will be present will be the tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, at Plaza Cuba in Tegucigalpa, on August 13, to celebrate his birthday, he stated.
We will also give cultural performances with traditional Costa Rican songs, focusing on the presence of Major General Antonio Maceo and his brother José, Major General Flor Crombet, and the Cuban families that made up the productive colony at Mansion de Nicoya in the 1880s.
