International Festival of Arts and Cultures to begin in Nicaragua

Managua, Aug 5 (Prensa Latina) The International Festival of Arts, Cultures and Gastronomy of Our Peoples will be inaugurated in Nicaragua with the presence of guests from more than 40 countries including representatives from "Abkhazia, Angola, Bolivia, Cuba, Colombia, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Iran and Japan. Also attending the two-day event at the Olof Palme Convention Center of this capital, in addition to the host country, will be Libya, Palestine, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Korea, China, Russia, Venezuela, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica and Ecuador, among other guests from Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Organized by the Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism (Intur) and other institutions, the event has among its objectives the promotion of the union between nations.

In the festival, which is held every year, the invited countries exhibit the best of their gastronomy with typical food, while showing the public their dances, songs and traditional costumes, among other artistic manifestations.
