This branch is exercised by physicians specialized in the management of pregnant women with pre-existing conditions, including heart, kidney, autoimmune diseases, hypertension, diabetes and thrombophilia. Furthermore, those who are in complications risks related to this condition, including premature delivery, preeclampsia and twin pregnancy.

Pregnant women with fetuses at risk due to chromosomal anomalies or congenital anomalies, maternal illness, infections, genetic diseases and fetal growth disturbances are also eligible.
