The provision comes into force eight days before the primary, open, simultaneous and mandatory elections and will be in force until three hours after the end of the appointment at the polls, scheduled for the 13th.
According to the established chronogram, on the 11th of this month the electoral campaign will be concluded, and the closing period will begin at 08:00, local time. Meanwhile, on the 15th, the definitive scrutiny will begin.
On the other hand, the National Electoral Boards (NEB will be constituted on the 23rd and on September 2 the campaign for the general elections to be held on October 22 will commence.
According to the NEB, mandatory presidential debates will be held on the 1st and 8th of that month, and the closing date will start on the 20th.
In case a second round is necessary, it will take place on November 19 and the debate seven days before.
In addition to electing the president and vice-president of the nation, Argentines will vote for the head of government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the governors of 21 provinces.
They will also define who will occupy 130 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 24 in the Senate. These bodies are renewed in parts every two years. They will also select provincial legislators, mayors and municipal councilors.
