There is considerable concern about the training of suicide bombers to attack facilities and patrols of the Russian and Syrian Armed Forces, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation based in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, denounced.

The officer noted that the Ministry of Defense has information that the attackers are being trained by the Organisation for the Liberation of the Levant, (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusrah Front), and warned that decisive measures will be taken against any militants planning to carry out any attacks.

Syria and Russia have repeatedly charged that radicals in Idlib are preparing provocations, including chemical attacks, with the support and supervision of the United States, some Western governments and Turkish intelligence services, which not only offer advice but also media and political coverage.
