After a parade with the youngest dancers of the company on August 5 at 2:00 pm, local time, there will be a class with participants in the professional program and selected students from the children’s program.
This event will be followed by selections from the ballets “Nutcracker”, “Paquita”, “Don Quixote” and the third act suite from “Coppelia”, as well as the pas de deux “Spring Waters” and the solo “Muto”.
The pas de deux “The Flames of Paris” will be performed by Camila Alfonso and Ernesto Acevedo, guest dancers from the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC).
Under the direction of Viengsay Valdés, the International Summer Workshop of the BNC’s Dance Department is held every year.
On this occasion, it was inaugurated on July 17 with the participation of more than 150 students and dancers from Bolivia, Colombia, Spain, the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Cuba.
At each season, the students receive classes in ballet and the various disciplines that make up stage practice, a knowledge transmitted by experienced dancers, maitres and world-renowned teachers.
