The Bilateral, National and Temporary Ceasefire for 180 days between the State and the ELN and the installation of the National Participation Committee, whose first meeting yesterday was very successful, he pointed out.
The first, with the approval of the United Nations Security Council of the extension of the mandate of the Verification Mission, and the second, which announces a national deployment of all the work of participation in the peace process, complement each other, the government delegate, who is one of the most recognized personalities in Colombia in favor of peace, said.
“The cease-fire must generate conditions for social and citizen participation to be carried out in the best possible way and a component of social oversight is also expressed in relation to the truce,” he explained.
