It will be a tribute that adds to others that she has received in recent years: The Queen Sofia Award in 2015, the prize of the Guadalajara International Book Fair in 2018, the Miguel de Cervantes Award that same year, and the Gran Premio Nacional a la Labor Intelectual in 2021.
The documentary was directed by her compatriot María Arrillaga and contributes to learning about the life and work of the Uruguayan poet, translator, essayist, professor and literary critic, an exponent of “essentialist” poetry.
“Poetry can be the center of a life and it is undoubtedly the center of this documentary,” according to the filmmaker.
